Born in 2020, Torii Nest expands the application scenarios to outdoor home spaces, creating a complete family of sofa seating.

This ingenious seating design project uses traditional Japanese construction details to create rounded shapes, light lines and clean looks.

The natural teak or dark brown mahogany base, the aluminium legs with a copper-coloured glossy finish and the braided rope backrest in the lacquered tubular steel structure are all ingenious. It is worth mentioning that the design of the braided rope is inspired by Viennese straw patterns, but the mesh is larger, breathable and transparent, and the colors are available in plain white, dark brown or oil green.

Presented with a sophisticated visual effect, Torii Nest Outdoor is available in a variety of sizes and types, from fixed and swivel armchairs, to two-seater sofas with curved silhouettes, to round chaise longues, to meet a wide range of needs in terms of functionality and ergonomics 

The light, ethereal exterior is in harmony with the textured materials, the wrap-around backrest creates a cosy corner, and the solid natural teak structure is complemented by soft and comfortable seat cushions, where tactile soft materials invite relaxation. With its delicate proportions and romantic and modern design, it is suitable for both urban terraces and hotel environments, from classic to contemporary.

Structure

Backrest in tubular stainless steel varnished Bronze colour with polished anti-fingerprint finish upholstered with woven polypropylene fibre in Ecru, Dark Brown or Green Oil colour. Plywood seat, veneered in solid Dark Brown mahogany or in teak with natural finish (Tectona Grandis - First European Quality). The structure is coated in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam. In order to protect the lower part of the seat cushion, a polyurethane foam pad upholstered in a water-repellent, non-slip coated fabric is provided. The pad has a zipper for easy removal of the upholstery.

Cushions

Seat and backrest cushions in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam and water-repellent, eco-friendly viscose fibre. In order to better protect the padding from water and humidity, all the cushions are upholstered in water-repellent polyester fabric. All the accessories used in production – zippers, thread – are waterrepellent and therefore suitable for outdoor use.

Covers

Cushion upholstery is completely removable.

Feet

In extruded aluminium with varnished polished Bronze colour anti-fingerprint finish. The armchairs are available with 360° swivel mechanism (without return), or fixed. Black protective polyethylene glides.
