Le Chat lounge chair, design by Artifort. This beautiful chair designed in 1967 won the Monza design award in 1969. use of an aluminum frame for the first time to create this slim and aggressive chair. Elegant, essential and unique, the Le Chat chair is now back in production. Just as suggested by the name, the Le Chat chair resembles a cat about to leap into the air.

Comfortable and hip, it is an unmissable piece of art.

Artifort F574, Le Chat, looks as if it were designed with a single movement of the pen. The backrest and seat seem to leap out of the rear base. It makes the chair both inviting and dynamic. A pleasure to sit on. With Le Chat, used aluminium profiles for the first time as a base. Later, he also used them for the Groovy, one of Artifort’s classics. In 1969, Le Chat deservedly won the Monza Design Award.

Its tense curves seem to leap from a single point. Drawn with a single stroke of the pen. Without hesitation. You can feel the power, the readiness to leap. But it also invites you to sit. It’s fully shaped to your body. Dynamic and restful. Now, in 2007, Artifort is re-introducing Le Chat, with a slight modification.
