The world-renowned Spanish designer Jaime Hayon working together with Fritz Hansen have created today's answer to tomorrow's easy chair. A chair where you can find room for your inner space and take a break from the hectic bustle of everyday life.

Ro™ is much more than an easy chair. It's a 1½-seater where you can relax, change positions and have your newspaper, computer or child next to you and create a new comfort zone. The design of the shell is elegant and simple, pleasing to both the eye and the body and offers the promise of tranquility in both its visual expression and its comfortable functionality. Furthermore, the form of the shell gives you the choice of being part of what goes on in the room or relaxing in your own private space.

"Ro" means tranquility in Danish. The name was chosen because it captures the point of the chair in just two letters, thus reflecting the Nordic approach and concept of beauty. Ro is made with great craftsmanship and in the highest sustainable quality. Combined with the sculptural and elegant design, the result is a functional and aesthetic chair that fascinates its surroundings. One seems to fall in love with it.

Ro is also available online in a single fabric version. It can also be specified with a mix of two fabrics; one fabric for the shell, one for the cushions (please call the hive showroom to order). The legs are offered in brushed aluminium or as a wooden base/legs in oak. The ottoman will be upholstered in the same fabric as the chair.

Design Plus Gallery presents a Ro Lounge Chair and Ottoman. Designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen. Spanish designer Jaime Hayon immersed himself as a teenager in both skateboard culture and graffiti art, which lie at the core of the bold and whimsical forms he creates today. In 1997, after studying industrial design in Madrid and Paris, he joined Fabrica, a research center in Treviso, Italy, where he soon became the head of design. Hayon struck out on his own in 2003, first devising collections of ceramics and furniture, then delving into interior design. His work is featured in several museums and has received accolades from the likes of Time and Wallpaper magazines. The upholstery is Bordeaux with blond finish tapered legs. These are the authentic Ro Footstool by Republic of Fritz Hansen. Made in Poland.
